Day 8 - Casper to Custer State Park, SD

Day 8 - The photos will tell the story today. Most will be on Facebook because it is much easier to download and comment on FB. The changes in topography today were incredibly beautiful. The buttes, formations, snowy Big Horn Mountains, grasslands - WOW! We got to Custer State Park around 2:00 p.m. and found our campground. Well, we go around the circle and there is a 34 ft. fifth wheel and big truck parked partially on our site. There were two pull in sites that really were not far off the road. We could not get our camper and truck on our site. He could not put out there slide without it going into the road all the way. Thankfully, a campground host was cleaning the bathrooms because the office was closed (Memorial Day). They found the family a roomier spot in another campground, so we took their site because it had more room. Soon, someone else came and took the one that was supposed to be ours and with a good bit of maneuvering, they got in. We have a beautiful spot beside a stream with a rock cliff and a steep hill across from the stream. In the evening, there were deer in a field grazing. All of a sudden, two buffalo start running up the road. Two ladies said they had been in our campground this afternoon. The rangers were running them out with the truck. They ran into the field beside the campground. I wonder if they will be there tomorrow morning. We have no Internet, so I am typing this and will post when we get wifi. We found wifi in the parking lot of the Game Lodge here in Custer State Park. The signal is not fast and does not want to upload photos. I may have to wait on that. Shucks!
